O Queen of my life, taking a straw in my mouth and holding my folded hands to my head I pray to You to just one time be merciful to me.
Please engage me in the service of Your lotus feet under the guid- ance of Your dear sakhīs so I may happily dress You in beautiful gar- ments to my hearts content and serve You in so may ways.
May I constantly remain a maidservant of those sakhīs who dress You in beautiful clothes, decorate Your limbs with various jewels and apply sandalwood paste.
I will fill a waterpot with scented water, mix betelnuts with cam- phor, make a mālatī garland, and arrange delicious foods on a plate…
And then offer them to Lalita by her gesture. Narottama dāsa is praying and waiting for the opportunity to serve with the sakhīs.
